Student Support at Rosny College

We offer a wide network of staff to support your wellbeing and learning during your time at Rosny College. The services include: academic support, enrichment programs, wellbeing spaces, mental and physical health support, counselling, psychology assessments, health advice, cultural inclusion programs and others.

 

Home Group Teachers & Wellbeing Advanced Skills Teachers

Your Support Group teacher is your first point of contact to ask for support. They are dedicated to following your journey and ensuring that your educational and wellbeing needs are met. If you need help, talk to them first to find the right College Student Support Service for you. All Home Group teachers are supported by a Wellbeing Advanced Skills Teacher, we encourage you to learn who your Wellbeing AST is.

 

The Wellbeing Hub

A welcoming drop-in space where you are empowered to take control of your health and wellbeing. The Hub is run by our School Health Nurses. Drop-in and unwind, engage with your peers, talk to a nurse, and participate in a variety of programs aimed at promoting mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing.

The yarning Space

This is a culturally safe space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, as well as a place of cultural sharing for all students. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students can connect with Rosny mob. The Aboriginal Education Worker is based in this space. All students are welcome to visit and have a yarn about Aboriginal cultures and history.

 

Breakfast Club

Breakfast club is run every morning from 7:20-8:20 in the Break Café. All students are welcome to attend and start your morning with a healthy free breakfast, including: cereal, fruit, toast, and a cuppa.

 

Individual Support

Students may request individual support and meet with our professional support staff to receive counselling. Our professional support staff includes psychologists, social workers, school health nurse, Aboriginal education worker, and a teacher counsellor. To request individual support the student should complete a Referral Application. This can be completed with your Home Group Teacher if wanting assistance, by accessing the referral form located in person at Student Support Services, or The Hub, or via the QR code below.
