As we move into Term 4, there are several important milestones and opportunities for our students and families.

Year 12 – The Final Stretch

For our Year 12 students, this is the final term of classes before exams in Term 4. By now, TCE Health Checks have been completed, so every student should have a clear understanding of where they are placed and what is still required to achieve their TCE or TCEA. The key message is don’t leave things to the last minute. Begin preparing early, stay on top of revision, and make use of the supports available such ats tutorials.

Exams for Years 11 and 12

End-of-year exams are just around the corner. While it may feel like there’s still plenty of time, now is the time to plan, revise and consolidate. A steady approach through the term will make a big difference come exam time.

Family Satisfaction Survey

You should have received the annual Family Satisfaction Survey. We strongly encourage you to take the time to complete this. Your feedback is highly valued and plays an important role in shaping the direction of our college into the future.

Lifting Literacy

We’re working hard to strengthen literacy across our college, with a focus this year on explicit vocabulary instruction. In 2024, we saw a 15% increase in students achieving a Satisfactory Achievement (SA) in Literacy Tick classes, and we’ve already reached our system goal of 93% of students achieving the Literacy Tick, up from 91% last year. These results reflect our commitment to high-impact teaching and student success, and we’re excited to continue building on this momentum.

Enrolments for 2026

All Year 11 students should by now have completed their enrolment for 2026. If this hasn’t yet been finalised, it is important to contact a POD Leader or a member of the Transition Team as soon as possible. This will ensure planning is in place for a smooth progression into next year. If you know of families that are seeking enrolment and are not currently at Rosny, please encourage them to contact us now to avoid missing out on courses.

This newsletter captures just a snapshot of the many activities, programs and celebrations that have taken place across the College this term. From learning achievements to cultural, sporting and community events, there has been so much happening that it would be impossible to include everything. We hope this edition gives you a good sense of the learning, opportunities across our community and the good vibes happening here.
